n 1993, Doris opened her first store at the Daisy Avenue Art Studios where her and her husband and artist David lived. The address was 748 Daisy Avenue, Long Beach, California.

The building was a renovated loft space that was quite beautiful using natural brick walls from the original building.

In the beginning, the upstairs portion was dedicated to more space for the clothes. But eventually, it became Doris’ first studio.
