Doris Tapped to Design Mocidade Rio Queen's Costume for 2009 Appearance in Sambadrome

September, 2008 - Doris Tapped to Design Mocidade Rio Queen's Costume for 2009 Appearance in Sambadrome

Doris is a Brazilian designer living in the land of Hollywood. She has designed costumes for dancers in almost every major country in the world. Her costumes have appeared in magazines, commercials, television, and at celebrity weddings such as that of Bridget Fonda. But she has yet to conquer dancers currently dancing in her own country Brazil. But that is about to change.

This designer from the area of Hollywood has been tapped by the queen of the Percussion (Rainha da Bateria) Thatiana Pagung of Mocidade Independente de Padre Miguel, one of the top samba schools in Rio de Janeiro to help design her 2009 Carnaval costume.

Doris and Thatiana met in Los Angeles via their mutal friend, Alex de Oliveira, the current King of Carnaval in Rio (Rei Momo). Thatiana will be parading with Doris' creation in the Sambadrome in 2009 during the main competition of the top samba schools in Brazil.
